В кельтских мифах потусторонний мир, находящийся на далеких западных островах, или чудесный "Остров блаженных". In Celtic myths, the other world is located on the distant western islands, or the wonderful “Isle of the Blessed”. According to different versions of the legends, on the island there is a glass tower or palace, as well as wonderful apples that give immortality (or the illusion of immortality). It was believed that Time itself stopped on the islands.

Later monastic legends of the 12th century AD. claimed that we are talking about Glastonbury Monastery near the Scottish border in England, where King Arthur, mortally wounded at the Battle of Camlan, was transported by the fairy Morgana. However, some details, in particular the fact that Avalon (Avalakh) was called both the “wonderful islands” and the “Great Land”, “Land of Life and Women”, suggest that this place is really located to the west of Europe in the ocean. And from this it follows that perhaps the legends speak of the “Great Land,” the continent of Atlantis, where, with the help of the developed technology of the Atlanteans, “Time was stopped.”

Over the centuries, people sometimes found themselves in it, and upon their return, a longing for the harmony of existence there settled in their hearts. Not everyone was able to get there. Today, many suffer so deeply from the imperfections of the world around them that longing lives in their hearts even without visiting the Magic Land.

In one of the legends, Avalon is a mythical island, the land of the dead in the French and English adaptations of Celtic legends that have come down to us (Cel. Emain Ablah). The legendary King Arthur was reburied on Avalon; in other versions of the legend: Avalon is the location of the sorceress Morgana. The sorceress Melusine was raised on Avalon.


Авалон – идиллический остров, потусторонний мир, место, где все обитатели проводят время в вечном празднике, умиротворении, спокойствии, не ведая забот и горестей. На этом острове обитают эльфы и феи, там столь медленно течет время, что герои легенд и по селе, возможно, обитают в райском уголке, не ведая, что над планетой пронеслись полторы тысячи лет.
Avalon is an idyllic island, an otherworldly world, a place where all the inhabitants spend time in eternal celebration, peace, tranquility, without worries and sorrows. Elves and fairies live on this island, time passes so slowly there that the heroes of legends in the villages may live in paradise, not knowing that one and a half thousand years have passed over the planet.
