Лежу я здесь, в братской могиле, так далеко от любимой. Видел, как товарищи погибают за Германию на просторах России вплоть до Чёрного моря, в Арденнах. Храбрые сыны Германии, тяжёл был тот марш с полной выкладкой.

Сейчас покидаю я этот мир, как многие товарищи до меня. Больно, но я не жалуюсь, я верен клятве, которую когда-то дал. Моя кровь из меня вытекает, уже от холода не чувствую ни рук, ни ног. И я верю, что увижу мать и отца — они протягивают мне руки сквозь яркий свет.
