Под ником Shlohmo скрывается Генри Лауфер (Henry Laufer) — 20-летний продюсер из Сан-Франциско. Родился он в Лос-Анджелесе. Как и в случае со многими новыми артистами калифорнийской сцены, описать его музыку задание не из легких. Используя минимум аппаратуры и простой компьютер Shlohmo нестандартно смешивает абстрактный хоп, глитчевые 8-битные текстуры, уличные эмбиент-записи, вонки-басы и космические фанк-мотивы. В результате получается сверхпсиходелический коктейль.
