Gregory C. Coleman родился в сентябре 1944 года в США. Уже в школе он начал играть на барабанах и тогда же сформировал свою первую группу — G.C. Coleman & The Soul Twisters. После этого он играл и в других коллективах.
Gregory C. Coleman was born in September 1944 in the USA. Already at school, he began to play on drums and then formed his first group - G.C. Coleman & The Soul Twisters. After that, he played in other groups.


Позже Грегори переезжает в Вашингтон, где он и присоединяется к The Winstons. В 1969 году у них выходит сингл ”Color Him Father” (получивший «Грэмми» за лучшую R&B песню). На обратной стороне сингла был записан трек ”Amen” (”Amen, Brother”), после которого выходит альбом, продажи которого привысили 2 миллиона копий.
Gregori later moves to Washington, where he joins The Winstons. In 1969, they were published by the single “Color Him Father” (received Grammy for the best R&B song). On the back of the single, the track “Amen, Brother”) was recorded, after which the album is released, the sales of which were accustomed to 2 million copies.
