The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord:

Thus says the Lord God of Israel: Write all the words that I spoke to you in a book.

For behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will bring back my people Israel and Judah from captivity, says the Lord; And I will bring them again to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.

And these are the words that the Lord spoke about Israel and Judah.

Thus said the Lord: we hear the voice of confusion and horror, and not of peace.

Ask and judge: does a man give birth? Why do I see every man’s hands on his loins, like a woman in labor, and everyone’s faces are pale?

Oh, woe! great is that day, there was none like it; This is Jacob's time of trouble, but he will be saved from it.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts: I will break his yoke that is upon thy neck, and will break thy bands; and they will no longer serve foreigners,

but they will serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will restore to them.

And you, my servant Jacob, do not be afraid, says the Lord, and do not be dismayed, O Israel; for behold, I will save you from a far country, and your descendants from the land of their captivity; and Jacob will return and live calmly and peacefully, and no one will make him afraid,

for I am with you, says the Lord, to save you: I will completely destroy all the nations among whom I have scattered you, but I will not destroy you; I will punish you to the extent, but I will not leave you unpunished.

For this is what the Lord says: Your wound is incurable, your plague is cruel;

no one cares about your business to heal your wound; there is no healing medicine for you;

all your friends have forgotten you and are not looking for you; for I have smitten you with the blows of the enemy, with a cruel punishment for the multitude of your iniquities, because your sins have multiplied.

Why do you cry about your wounds, about the cruelty of your illness? Because of the multitude of your iniquities I have done this to you, because your sins have multiplied.

But all those who devour you will be devoured; and all your enemies, all of you, will go into captivity, and your desolators will be laid waste, and all your robbers will be given over to robbery.

I will put a plaster over you and heal you from your wounds, says the Lord. They called you an outcast, saying: “This is Zion, about which no one asks”;

Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will restore the captivity of Jacob’s tents and have mercy on his villages; and the city will be built again on its hill, and the temple will be built as before.

And from them will rise up thanksgiving and the voice of those who rejoice; and I will multiply them, and they will not be humbled, and I will glorify them, and they will not be humiliated.

And his sons will be as before, and his company will stand before Me, and I will punish all his oppressors.

And its leader will be from himself, and his ruler will come from among him; and I will bring him near, and he will come to Me; for who will dare to approach Me on his own? says the Lord.

And you will be My people, and I will be your God.

Behold, a furious whirlwind comes from the Lord, a terrible whirlwind; it will fall on the head of the wicked.

The burning anger of the Lord will not be turned away until He has accomplished and fulfilled the purposes of His heart. In the last days you will understand this.
