Взывай, если есть отвечающий тебе. И к кому из святых обратишься ты?
Case if there is an answer to you. And which of the saints will you turn to?
Так, глупца убивает гневливость, и несмысленного губит раздражительность.
So, the fool kills anger, and the meaningless destroys irritability.
Видел я, как глупец укореняется, и тотчас проклял дом его.
I saw how a fool is rooting, and immediately cursed his house.
Дети его далеки от счастья, их будут бить у ворот, и не будет заступника.
His children are far from happiness, they will be beaten at the gate, and there will be no intercessor.
Жатву его съест голодный и из-за терна возьмет ее, и жаждущие поглотят имущество его.
His harvest will eat his hungry and will take it because of thorn, and the thirsty will swallow his property.
Так, не из праха выходит горе, и не из земли вырастает беда;
So, grief does not come out of the dust, and trouble does not grow out of the ground;
но человек рождается на страдание, как искры, чтобы устремляться вверх.
But a person is born to suffering, like sparks to rush up.
Но я к Богу обратился бы, предал бы дело мое Богу,
But I would turn to God, I would betray my work to God,
Который творит дела великие и неисследимые, чудные без числа,
Who is doing great and unexplored things, wonderful without a number,
дает дождь на лице земли и посылает воды на лице полей;
It rains on the face of the Earth and sends water on the face of the fields;
униженных поставляет на высоту, и сетующие возносятся во спасение.
It supplies humiliated to a height, and the complaining people ascend to salvation.
Он разрушает замыслы коварных, и руки их не довершают предприятия.
He destroys the intelligence designs, and their hands do not believe the enterprises.
Он уловляет мудрецов их же лукавством, и совет хитрых становится тщетным:
He catches the sages with their own cunning, and the Council of the cunning becomes vain:
днем они встречают тьму и в полдень ходят ощупью, как ночью.
In the afternoon they meet darkness and at noon go sensing like at night.
Он спасает бедного от меча, от уст их и от руки сильного.
He saves the poor from the sword, from their lips and from the hands of a strong.
И есть несчастному надежда, и неправда затворяет уста свои.
And there is an unfortunate hope, and untruthing shuts its mouth.
Блажен человек, которого вразумляет Бог, и потому наказания Вседержителева не отвергай,
Blessed is a man who is admonished by God, and therefore do not reject the penalties of Vyshezhtelv,
ибо Он причиняет раны и Сам обвязывает их; Он поражает, и Его же руки врачуют.
For he causes wounds and ties them himself; He is amazing, and his hands do.
В шести бедах спасет тебя, и в седьмой не коснется тебя зло.
In six troubles will save you, and in the seventh will not touch you evil.
Во время голода избавит тебя от смерти, и на войне от руки меча.
During hunger, he will save you from death, and in the war by the hands of the sword.
От бича языка укроешь себя и не убоишься опустошения, когда оно придет.
You will tame yourself from a scourge of your tongue and you will not be afraid of devastation when it comes.
Опустошению и голоду посмеешься и зверей земли не убоишься,
You will not get laughs with devastation and hunger and you will not be afraid of the animals of the earth,
ибо с камнями полевыми у тебя союз, и звери полевые в мире с тобою.
For with the stones of the fields you have an alliance, and field animals in the world with you.
И узнаешь, что шатер твой в безопасности, и будешь смотреть за домом твоим, и не согрешишь.
And you will find out that your tent is safe, and you will look at your house, and you will not sin.
И увидишь, что семя твое многочисленно, и отрасли твои, как трава на земле.
And you will see that your seed is large, and your industries are like grass on Earth.
Войдешь во гроб в зрелости, как укладываются снопы пшеницы в свое время.
You will enter the coffin in maturity, how the sheaves of wheat fit in the time.
Вот, что мы дознали; так оно и есть: выслушай это и заметь для себя.
