Сплит двух современных минималистов, выпущенный лимитированным тиражом на одном из лучших лейблов в мире современной академической музыки. Как сообщает нам упаковка (обложка), дело имеем с настоящим минимализмом. Глубинное исследование структуры звука и взаимодействия дроуновых паттернов с сознанием слушателя. Трек от Eleh выдержан в привычном для проекта стиле - медленно меняющиеся синусоидные дроуны, кое-где оформленные буквально несколькими песчинками шума. Эдакий "сад камней", в котором камень всего один, а песок весь выдуло ветром перемен. Сухой остаток любой симфонии, помноженный на медитативное настроение. Только медитирует в данном случае скорее генератор частот, а не человек.
A split of two modern minimalists, released in limited edition on one of the best labels in the world of contemporary academic music. As the packaging (cover) tells us, we are dealing with real minimalism. An in-depth study of the structure of sound and the interaction of drone patterns with the consciousness of the listener. The track from Eleh is designed in the usual style for the project - slowly changing sinusoidal drones, here and there decorated with just a few grains of noise. A kind of “rock garden” in which there is only one stone, and all the sand was blown away by the wind of change. The dry residue of any symphony, multiplied by a meditative mood. Only in this case it is the frequency generator rather than the person who is meditating.


Трек американского авангардиста Питре больше напоминает эмбиентные исследования Брайана Ино в тот период, когда тот увлекался генеративной музыкой. Говоря по-русски - музыкой, которая сама себя создает. Музыкант лишь устанавливает правила и границы, в рамках которых произведение будет себя выстраивать. Собственно Питре это и сделал на своей стороне пластинки, запрограммировав в среде Max/MSP самоиграющий массив синусоидных тонов и гитарных гармоник. Все это было представлено в виде инсталляции на какой-то выставке, но вполне органично смотрится и в виде трека на альбоме. Примечательна эта композиция тем, что, как и любое произведение генеративного искусства, ее можно слушать с любого места и любое время. Словно зеркало, отражающее другое зеркало - бесконечный коридор отражений, в котором одни и те же звуки меняются со временем просто от того, что вы их слушаете...
The track by American avant-garde artist Pitre is more reminiscent of the ambient explorations of Brian Eno during the period when he was interested in generative music. This composition is notable for the fact that, like any work of generative art, it can be listened to from anywhere and at any time. Like a mirror reflecting another mirror - an endless corridor of reflections in which the same sounds change over time simply because you listen to them...
