Heavenwood - "Portuguese Paradise Lost"! The group formed in 1992 and released two very popular Diva (1996) and Swallow (1998) albums on Massacre Records. The group performed on the same scene with musicians such as in Flames, Atrocity, Theater of Tragedy, Lake of Tears, Cradle of Filth, MoonSpell. The album of Swallow was a huge step forward - it was recorded by Gerhard Magin (Creamatory, Atrocity) with the participation of the invited vocalists Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray) and Liv Kristine (Theater of Tragedy). After a stunning performance at Waken Open Air, the group goes on a European tour with Atrocity, Solitude Aeturnus and Saviour Machine. Metal Hammer and Rock Hard are written about them, and Terrorizer puts them 4 points out of 5 for the last album and proclaims “Revelation”. But from 2001 to 2003, constant problems arise with the composition, and only in October 2003 the group returned to the stage in the Portuguese Live Rock Club. The Polish artist Wojtek Blasiak (MoonSpell, Vader) is developing a new logo for them, and by 2008 the group is preparing its next album called Redemption. The entry was held at Ultrasound Studios with the participation of Daniel Cardoso (producer and musician Sirius, Ramp, Head Control System, Ava Inferi, Vertigo Steps, The Firstborn, The Symphonyx, W.K.O., Audy Braur, Oblique Rain et al. The information and mastering was done by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Soilwork, Amon Amarth, Katatonia, Paradise Lost) in Fascination Street Studios in Orebro, Sweden. On the new HEAVENWOOD disk as a guest, the Ocean of Sadness Tijs Vanneste, as well as GUS G (Firewind, Mystic Prophecy, Nightrage, Arch Enemy and Dream Evil) and Jeff Waters (Annihilantor, Afterder Fore Ver, Destruction). The album was released in Portugal by the local Recital Records label, in Russia - IROND.
