Садок-священник (Zadok the Priest) - антем, написанный Г. Ф. Генделем в 1727 г. по случаю коронации английского короля Георга II. Торжественное произведение на библейскую тему. События, описанные в Библии (3-я книга Царств, главы 1 и 2) повествуют о восшествии царя Соломона, сына Давида на престол Израиля и Иудеи. Садок - священник, соратник царя Давида, помазавший Соломона на царство.
Sadok the priest (Zadok the Priest) - ANTM, written by G. F. Hendel in 1727 on the occasion of the coronation of the English king George II. A solemn work on the biblical theme. The events described in the Bible (3rd Book of Kingdoms, Chapter 1 and 2) tell about the accession of King Solomon, the son of David to the throne of Israel and Judea. Sadok is a priest, a comrade -in -arms of King David, anointing Solomon to the kingdom.

И пошли Садок священник и Нафан пророк и Ванея, сын Иодая, и Хелефеи и Фелефеи, и посадили Соломона на мула царя Давида, и повели его к Гиону.
And the priest and Nafan the Prophet and Vaney, the son of Iodai, and the Helefey and the Fedi, and the Solomon put Solomon on the mule of King David, and led him to Gion.
И взял Садок священник рог с елеем из скинии и помазал Соломона. И затрубили трубою, и весь народ восклицал: да живет царь Соломон! И весь народ провожал Соломона, и играл народ на свирелях, и весьма радовался, так что земля расседалась от криков его.
And the priest horn took the cage with a fiddle of the tabernacle and anointed Solomon. And they thundered with a pipe, and the whole people exclaimed: May King Solomon live! And the whole people escorted Solomon, and played the people on pierces, and was very happy, so that the Earth settled from his screams.
