1 Вместо Иехонии, сына Иоакима, царствовал Седекия, сын Иосии, которого Навуходоносор, царь Вавилонский, поставил царем в земле Иудейской.
1 Instead of Iehonia, the son of Joachim, was reigned by Sedecia, the son of Josia, who was Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, put the king in the Jewish land.
2 Ни он, ни слуги его, ни народ страны не слушали слов Господа, которые говорил Он чрез Иеремию пророка.
2 Neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the country listened to the words of the Lord, which he spoke through the Jeremiah of the Prophet.
3 Царь Седекия послал Иегухала, сына Селемии, и Софонию, сына Маасеи, священника, к Иеремии пророку сказать: помолись о нас Господу Богу нашему.
3 Tsar Sedecia sent Jehuhala, the son of Selemia, and Sophonia, the son of Maasei, the priest, to Jeremiah to the Prophet to say: they pray to us the Lord our God.
4 Иеремия тогда еще свободно входил и выходил среди народа, потому что не заключили его в дом темничный.
4 Jeremiah then still went freely and went out among the people, because they did not enclose him in the Temnichnaya house.
5 Между тем войско фараоново выступило из Египта, и Халдеи, осаждавшие Иерусалим, услышав весть о том, отступили от Иерусалима.
5 Meanwhile, the army of Faraonovo came out of Egypt, and the Chaldeans who besieged Jerusalem, hearing the news of that retreated from Jerusalem.
6 И было слово Господне к Иеремии пророку:
6 and there was a word of the Lord to Jeremiah to the Prophet:
7 так говорит Господь, Бог Израилев: так скажите царю Иудейскому, пославшему вас ко Мне вопросить Меня: вот, войско фараоново, которое шло к вам на помощь, возвратится в землю свою, в Египет;
7 So says the Lord, the god Israel: so tell the king of Judea, who sent you to me to ask me: here, the army of Faraonovo, who went to your aid, will return to his land, to Egypt;
8 а Халдеи снова придут и будут воевать против города сего, и возьмут его и сожгут его огнем.
8 And the Chaldeans will come again and will fight against this city, and take it and burn it with fire.
9 Так говорит Господь: не обманывайте себя, говоря: "непременно отойдут от нас Халдеи", ибо они не отойдут;
9 Thus says the Lord: do not deceive yourself, saying: “Haldeas will certainly move away from us,” for they will not be departed;
10 если бы вы даже разбили все войско Халдеев, воюющих против вас, и остались бы у них только раненые, то и те встали бы, каждый из палатки своей, и сожгли бы город сей огнем.
10 If you even defeated the entire army of the Chaldeans who are fighting against you, and only the wounded would have remained with them, then they would have stood up, each of their tents, and burned this city with this fire.
11 В то время, как войско Халдейское отступило от Иерусалима, по причине войска фараонова,
11 While the Khaldeysky army receded from Jerusalem, due to the army of Faraionov,
12 Иеремия пошел из Иерусалима, чтобы уйти в землю Вениаминову, скрываясь оттуда среди народа.
12 Jeremiah went from Jerusalem to go into the land of Veniaminov, hiding from there among the people.
13 Но когда он был в воротах Вениаминовых, бывший там начальник стражи, по имени Иреия, сын Селемии, сына Анании, задержал Иеремию пророка, сказав: ты хочешь перебежать к Халдеям?
13 But when he was at the Veniaminov’s gates, the guard who was there, by the name of Ireiya, the son of Selemia, the son of Anania, detained the Jeremiah of the Prophet, saying: do you want to run to the Chaldeans?
14 Иеремия сказал: это ложь; я не хочу перебежать к Халдеям. Но он не послушал его, и взял Иреия Иеремию и привел его к князьям.
14 Jeremiah said: this is a lie; I do not want to run to the Chaldeans. But he did not listen to him, and took Ireiya Jeremiah and led him to the princes.
15 Князья озлобились на Иеремию и били его, и заключили его в темницу, в дом Ионафана писца, потому что сделали его темницею.
15 The princes embittered at Jeremiah and beat him, and enclosed him in prison, in the house of Jonathan of the scribe, because they made it a dungeon.
16 Когда Иеремия вошел в темницу и подвал, и пробыл там Иеремия много дней,-
16 When Jeremiah entered the dungeon and the basement, and Jeremiah stayed there for many days,-
17 царь Седекия послал и взял его. И спрашивал его царь в доме своем тайно и сказал: нет ли слова от Господа? Иеремия сказал: есть; и сказал: ты будешь предан в руки царя Вавилонского.
17 King Sedecia sent and took it. And he asked his king in his house secretly and said: is there a word from the Lord? Jeremiah said: Yes; And he said: you will be betrayed in the hands of the king of Babylon.
18 И сказал Иеремия царю Седекии: чем я согрешил перед тобою и перед слугами твоими, и перед народом сим, что вы посадили меня в темницу?
18 And Jeremiah said to the king of Sedecia: what did I warm before you and before your servants, and before the people of Sim, that you put me in prison?
19 и где ваши пророки, которые пророчествовали вам, говоря: "царь Вавилонский не пойдет против вас и против земли сей"?
19 And where are your prophets that prophesied to you, saying: "King Babylonian will not go against you and against this land"?
20 И ныне послушай, государь мой царь, да падет прошение мое пред лице твое; не возвращай меня в дом Ионафана писца, чтобы мне не умереть там.
20 And now listen, the sovereign is my king, may my petition fall before your face; Do not return me to the house of Jonathan of the scribe, so that I do not die there.
21 И дал повеление царь Седекия, чтобы заключили Иеремию во дворе стражи и давали ему по куску хлеба на день из улицы хлебопеков, доколе не истощился весь хлеб в городе; и так оставался Иеремия во дворе стражи.
21 And King Sedeckia gave the command to conclude a Jeremiah in the courtyard of the guards and gave him a piece of bread for a day from the Stroit Street, all the bread in the city was not exhausted; And so Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard.
