Роберт Майлз (настоящее имя - Роберто Кончина (Roberto Concina)) родился 3 ноября 1969 г. в г. Невшатель, Швейцария. Майлз - ди-джей и композитор, работающий в различных стилях электронной музыки, популяризатор стиля Dreamhouse (очень многие даже ошибочно считают его основателем стиля).
Robert Miles (real name Roberto Concina) was born on November 3, 1969 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Miles is a DJ and composer who works in various styles of electronic music, a popularizer of the Dreamhouse style (many even mistakenly consider him the founder of the style).


С детских лет он занимался игрой на фортепиано, хотя и не проявлял к этому особого интереса. Интерес к музыке возник позднее, когда Роберт становится старше.
Since childhood, he has been playing the piano, although he did not show much interest in it. Interest in music arose later, as Robert grew older.

But in 1994, Miles created his most famous work, the dreamhouse composition "Children". Within two weeks of its official release in 1995, the single sold more than 30 thousand copies throughout Europe, topping the charts in many countries. The recording is certified platinum in the UK and Germany, and gold in many others. The composition "Children" is recognized as the most famous single of 1996.

Robert's next single is "Fable", which features vocals from Feralla Qunin. Miles' debut album "Dreamland", released on June 7, 1996 in Europe, becomes very successful and brings fame and money to its creator. Some time later, an expanded version of it was published in the USA, containing the song “One and One” performed by Maria Nayler. This song gained popularity and was released separately as a single in the US and UK.

In November 1997, Miles introduced the song "Freedom", which will be included in his new album "23AM", released on November 27, 1997. On June 11, 2001, the album "Organik" was released on vinyl and CD. In this work, Miles almost completely departs from his usual sound, creating 12 compositions from a mixture of ambient, nu jazz, world music, breakbeat, progressive, techno. The album was created in collaboration with musicians such as Bill Laswell, Nitin Sawhney and Trilok Gurtu.


В конце 2003 года Майлз переезжает из Лондона в Лос-Анджелес и основывает собственный звукозаписывающий лейбл S:alt records, где в 2004 году выходит новый альбом "Miles_Gurtu" , написанный совместно с индийским джазменом-перкуссионистом Трилоком Гурту (Trilok Gurtu).
At the end of 2003, Miles moved from London to Los Angeles and founded his own record label S:alt records, where in 2004 he released a new album, "Miles_Gurtu", written together with Indian jazzman-percussionist Trilok Gurtu.
