Известность к Вадиму Мулерману пришла в 1966 году: он стал лауреатом Всесоюзного конкурса артистов эстрады с песней «Хромой король» (Александр Дулов — Морис Карем). Из-за идеологической цензуры, усмотревшей в песне намек на политическое руководство Советского Союза, пришлось исключить из песни последний куплет и изменить название на «Король-победитель».
Fame to Vadim Mulerman came in 1966: he became the laureate of the All -Union contest of the pop artists with the song “Lame King” (Alexander Dulov - Maurice Karem). Due to the ideological censorship, which saw in the song a hint of the political leadership of the Soviet Union, it was necessary to exclude the last verse from the song and change the name to the “winning king”.
