This surah was revealed in Medina and consists of 73 verses. At the beginning of the surah, Allah calls His messenger Muhammad - may Allah bless him and greet him! - fear Allah and rely on Him. The surah then states that adopted sons are not the blood sons of those who adopted them. The sura contains instructions from Allah about the need to love and obey the messenger and about the need to show respect to the wives of the prophet - ummahat al-mu'minin (mothers of believers). This surah draws attention to the vow taken by Allah from His prophets: to convey the Messages. The following tells about the battle of the Muslims with the hosts of unbelievers, about the fear and excitement that gripped the believers, and about the victory that they won, as Allah promised them. The surah lists the norms and rules of behavior that the wives of the prophet must follow - may Allah bless him and greet him! Then the issue of adopted sons is mentioned again and it is said that one can marry the divorced wives of adopted sons, since according to Allah there is no sin in this. Here permission is given to Muhammad - may Allah bless him and greet him! - take the divorced wife of his adopted son as his wife. The surah draws attention to the merits of the Messenger of Allah - may Allah bless him and greet him! - and praise is given to him as he deserves. This surah contains instructions for believers. If a believer marries a believer and then divorces without touching her, he should give her gifts so that she will not be upset, and let her go in peace without causing her any harm. In this surah, only the prophet is allowed to marry a believing woman who has given herself to the prophet. It is also indicated that a prophet who has nine wives is not allowed to take new wives in the future. In the sura there is an admonition to those who believe: how they should behave when they enter the prophet’s house to eat, and when they leave there after eating, and that they should ask the prophet’s wives for any utensils only through the veil. The surah indicates that the wives of the prophet should lower their wide head covers (covering their clothes with them). The sura explains the Last Hour, speaks of fear in that Hour, severe punishment and severe torment. The sura contains advice and edification about fear of God and truthful speech. The sura ends with an explanation of Allah's instructions and orders about the Sharia of faith and the responsibility for this that man bears, although the earth and mountains have refused this. Thus, the main thoughts of this surah are: instructions about adopted sons and the rejection of the pre-Islamic custom that prohibits an adopted son from marrying a divorced wife; Allah's gift to believers is the fulfillment of the promise to provide them with support in order to defeat the polytheists; clarification of Allah's Sharia regarding moral standards when entering the house of the prophet and regarding the spouses of the prophet - may Allah bless him and greet him!
