Альбан Берг умер 23 декабря 1935 года, не успев завершить работу над своей второй оперой «Лулу». Третий акт оперы остался в виде сокращённого черновика и оркестровки примерно пятой его части. Завершить оперу взялся австрийский композитор Фридрих Церха (Friedrich Cerha): он доработал черновик до полного варианта, решая проблемы фразировки, артикуляции, динамики, правильного темпа, музыкальной орфографии и координации, и довёл до конца оркестровку. Премьера полной версии «Лулу» состоялась в 1979 году.
Alban Berg died on December 23, 1935, not having time to complete the work on his second opera Lula. The third act of the opera remained in the form of an abbreviated draft and orchestration of about the fifth part of it. The Austrian composer Friedrich Cerha (Friedrich Cerha) undertook to complete the drafts: he finalized the draft to the full version, solving the problems of phrasing, articulation, dynamics, the correct pace, musical spelling and coordination, and brought to the end the orchestra. The premiere of the full version of the "Lulu" took place in 1979.
