1 Славьте Господа, ибо Он благ, ибо вовек милость Его!
1 Praise the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endures forever!
2 Так да скажут избавленные Господом, которых избавил Он от руки врага
2 Thus let the redeemed of the Lord say, whom he has delivered from the hand of the enemy
3 и собрал от стран: от востока и запада, от севера и моря.
3 And he gathered from the countries: from the east and the west, from the north and the sea.
4 Они блуждали в пустыне по безлюдному пути и не находили населенного города;
4 They wandered in the wilderness along a deserted path and did not find an inhabited city;
5 терпели голод и жажду, душа их истаивала в них.
5 They suffered hunger and thirst, and their souls melted away within them.
6 Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он избавил их от бедствий их
6 But they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and He delivered them from their troubles
7 и повел их прямым путем, чтобы они шли к населенному городу.
7 And he led them on a straight path, so that they would go to an inhabited city.
8 Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих,
8 Let them praise the Lord for His mercy and for His wonderful works for the sons of men,
9 ибо Он насытил душу жаждущую и душу алчущую исполнил благами.
9 For He has satisfied the thirsty soul and filled the hungry soul with good things.
10 Они сидели во тьме и тени смертной, окованные скорбью и железом,
10 They sat in darkness and the shadow of death, bound in sorrow and iron,
11 ибо не покорялись словам Божиим и пренебрегли волей Всевышнего.
11 For they did not obey the words of God and despised the will of the Most High.
12 Он смирил сердце их работами; они преткнулись, и не было помогающего.
12 He humbled their hearts with their works; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
13 Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он спас их от бедствий их;
13 But they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and He saved them from their troubles;
14 вывел их из тьмы и тени смертной и расторгнул узы их.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke their bonds.
15 Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих,
15 Let them praise the Lord for His mercy and for His wonderful works for the sons of men,
16 ибо Он сокрушил врата медные и засовы железные сломал.
16 For He has broken in pieces the gates of brass and broken the bars of iron.
17 Безрассудные страдали за беззаконные пути свои и за неправды свои;
17 The foolish have suffered for their wicked ways and for their iniquities;
18 от всякой пищи отвращалась душа их, и они приближались к вратам смерти.
18 Their souls turned away from all food, and they approached the gates of death.
19 Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он спас их от бедствий их;
19 But they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and He saved them from their troubles;
20 послал слово Свое и исцелил их, и избавил их от могил их.
20 He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their graves.
21 Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих!
21 Let them praise the Lord for His mercy and for His wonderful works for the sons of men!
22 Да приносят Ему жертву хвалы и да возвещают о делах Его с пением!
22 Let them offer sacrifices of praise to Him and let them proclaim His deeds with singing!
23 Отправляющиеся на кораблях в море, производящие дела на больших водах
23 Those who go on ships to the sea, doing business on large waters
24 видят дела Господа и чудеса Его в пучине:
24 They see the works of the Lord and His wonders in the depths:
25 Он речет – и восстает бурный ветер, и высоко поднимает волны его,
25 He speaks, and a stormy wind arises and lifts its waves high,
26 восходят до небес, нисходят до бездны. Душа их истаивает в бедствии;
26 ascend to the heavens, descend to the abyss. Their soul melts away in distress;
27 они кружатся и шатаются, как пьяные, и вся мудрость их исчезает.
27 They spin and stagger like drunken people, and all their wisdom disappears.
28 Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он вывел их из бедствия их.
28 But they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and He brought them out of their distress.
29 Он превращает бурю в тишину, и волны умолкают.
29 He turns the storm into calm, and the waves become silent.
30 И веселятся, что они утихли, и Он приводит их к желаемой пристани.
30 And they rejoice that they have calmed down, and He brings them to the desired landing place.
31 Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих!
31 Let them praise the Lord for His mercy and for His wonderful works for the sons of men!
32 Да превозносят Его в собрании народном и да славят Его в сонме старейшин!
32 Let him be exalted in the congregation of the people, and let him be glorified in the congregation of elders!
33 Он превращает реки в пустыню и источники вод – в сушу,
33 He turns rivers into deserts and springs of water into dry land,
34 землю плодородную – в солончак за нечестие живущих на ней.
34 The fertile land is turned into a salt marsh because of the wickedness of those who live on it.
35 Он превращает пустыню в озеро, и землю иссохшую – в источники вод;
35 He turns the desert into a lake, and the parched land into springs of water;
36 и поселяет там алчущих, и они строят город для обитания;
36 And he makes the hungry settle there, and they build a city to dwell in;
37 засевают поля, насаждают виноградники, которые приносят им обильные плоды.
37 They sow the fields and plant vineyards, which bring them abundant fruit.
38 Он благословляет их, и они весьма размножаются, и скота их не уменьшает.
38 He blesses them, and they multiply greatly, and does not diminish their livestock.
39 Уменьшились они и упали от угнетения, бедствия и скорби –
39 They diminished and fell from oppression, distress and sorrow -
40 Он изливает бесчестие на князей и оставляет их блуждать в пустыне, где нет путей.
40 He pours out dishonor on princes and leaves them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way.
41 Бедного же извлекает из бедствия и умножает род его, как стада овец.
41 But he rescues the poor from distress and multiplies his family like a flock of sheep.
42 Праведники видят это и радуются, а всякое нечестие заграждает уста свои.
42 The righteous see this and rejoice, but all wickedness stops its mouth.
43 Кто мудр, тот заметит это и уразумеет милость Господа.
43 He who is wise will notice this and understand the mercy of the Lord.
