Однажды злобный Моргот, весь из себя,
One day the evil Morgoth, all of himself,
Хотел Белерианду завоевать он.
He wanted to conquer Beleriand.
И кодлу диких орков он собирал
And he collected wild orcs
И из Тангородриму их выгонял:
And he kicked them out of Thangorodrim:
- Хэй! Воинство черное! Вылезай-ка из разных дыр!
- Hey! The army is black! Get out of different holes!
Мы победим племя подгорное и Тинголовских проныр.
We will defeat the Podgornoye tribe and the Tingol weasels.


На Западе, в Амане, жил Феанор.
In the West, in Aman, Feanor lived.
На Черного Владыку клык точил он.
He sharpened his fang at the Black Lord.
И вот собрался в битву хищный Нольдор
And so the predatory Noldor gathered for battle
И в Гавань влез Валарам наперекор:
And Valar entered the Harbor in defiance:
- Хэй! Дивные Телери! Поднимайте-ка паруса!
- Hey! Marvelous Teleri! Raise the sails!
В Белерианд, на Средиземие, сотрясая небеса!
To Beleriand, to Middle-earth, shaking the skies!


Валары осудили дерзкий поход,
The Valars condemned the daring campaign,
И Телери вопили, мол, не пустим.
And the Teleri screamed, they say, we won’t let them in.
И как оно случилось, не понял никто,
And no one understood how it happened,
Но тут смертоубийство проистекло.
But then the murder occurred.
- Хэй! Злобные Нольдоры! Нас, любимых, обидели!
- Hey! Evil Noldor! We, our loved ones, have been offended!
Бей Телерей, не бойся крови, и отбивайте корабли!
Beat Telerey, do not be afraid of blood, and recapture the ships!


В Лосгаре вылезали на берега
In Losgar they climbed onto the shores
Похмельные Нольдоры с громким матом:
Hungover Noldor with loud obscenities:
Ну, где тут ваш галимый Ангабанд?
Well, where is your nonsense Angaband?
Пылали корабли, и фигел Дориат.
The ships were burning, and Doriath was dying.
- Хэй! Храбрые Нольдоры! Разворачивай звездный стяг!
- Hey! Brave Noldor! Unfurl the star banner!
Воздух звенел, трескались горы, и было все пока нештяк.
The air was ringing, the mountains were cracking, and things were still going well.


На зарево пожара Орки пришли,
The Orcs came to the glow of the fire,
Напали на похмельных злобной гопой.
They attacked the hungover people with an evil gop.
Но ничего поделать они не смогли
But they couldn't do anything
И прямо там конец свой скорый нашли.
And right there they found their quick end.
- Хэй! Храбрые Нольдоры! Разворачивай звездный стяг!
- Hey! Brave Noldor! Unfurl the star banner!
Орков гони, бей гада-Моргота, скоро будет все нештяк!
Drive away the orcs, beat the bastard Morgoth, soon everything will be bad!


В смятении великом Моргот лежал,
Morgoth lay in great confusion,
И, злобного чего-то явно желая,
And, clearly wanting something evil,
Корявым ятаганом в зубах ковырял
He picked his teeth with a clumsy scimitar
И Балрогов дивизию в битву послал:
And he sent the Balrog division into battle:
- Хэй! Злобные Балроги! Мои огненные бичи!
- Hey! Evil Balrogs! My fiery scourges!
А ну, вылезай! - тащит их за ноги из мартеновской печи.
Come on, get out! - drags them by the feet from the open-hearth furnace.


Пламенем Амана пыхал Нольдор,
The Noldor burned with the flame of Aman,
И, чтобы всех врагов покрепче послать,
And in order to send all enemies stronger,
Выкатил из строя сам Феанор:
Feanor himself rolled out:
"А Элберет такая, дивная мать!"
“And Elbereth is such a wonderful mother!”
- Хэй! Гребаны Балроги! Блин, ангбандские вы бомжи!
- Hey! Fucking Balrogs! Damn, you Angband homeless people!
А ну, вылезай! - тащит их за ноги под нольдорские ножи.
Come on, get out! - drags them by the legs under the Noldor knives.


Мощнявая спотычка произошла.
A powerful stumble occurred.
Увлекся Феанор, дрыном махая.
Feanor got carried away, waving his drum.
Бичевская орава с тылу зашла
The Bichevskaya horde entered from the rear
И пламенем Удуна батьку пожгла.
And with the flame of Udun she burned her father.
- Блин! Злобные Балроги! - разъярилися сыновья.
- Crap! Evil Balrogs! - the sons were furious.
С пеной у рта врезались в драку и отстояли короля.
Foaming at the mouth, they entered the fray and defended the king.


Не помогли примочки - помер герой.
The gadgets did not help - the hero died.
И дух его великий испустился.
And his great spirit departed.
Но реет его знамя над головой,
But his banner flies above his head,
И дело его помнит Нольдор крутой.
And the cool Noldor remembers his deed.
- Хэй! Храбрые Нольдоры! Разворачивай звездный стяг!
- Hey! Brave Noldor! Unfurl the star banner!
Пусть все горит, рушатся горы, ведь все равно весь мир -
Let everything burn, let the mountains crumble, after all, the whole world is still...
