An outstanding American (originally from Poland) violinist and conductor Shimon Goldberg began playing the violin as a child in Warsaw. In 1917, he goes to Berlin and takes lessons there with Carl Flesch.

After a reporting concert in Warsaw in 1921, he was invited to the Dresden Philharmonic as an accompanist for the period from 1925 to 1929.
