Из страны ледников и гейзеров я всегда в первую очередь слушал Sólstafir. Оно и понятно - из любого небольшого государства сразу выделяются таланты. Сложно пропустить мимо ушей группу, которая является оправданным предметом для гордости тамошней метал-сцены. Я поклонник этой группы и все их релизы стоят больших комплиментов. Но пока я решил рецензировать третий студийный альбом исландцев.

From the country of glaciers and geysers, I always first of all listened to Sólstafir. It is understandable - talents are immediately allocated from any small state. It is difficult to skip a group past the ears, which is an justified object for the pride of the metal scene there. I am a fan of this group and all their releases are large compliments. But while I decided to review the third studio album of the Icelanders.

"Köld" - холод. Название этого творения несет в себе неоднозначный смысл. Sólstafir всегда удавалось сочетать в своей музыке дух скандинавских красот и философию, что отображает человеческие размышления о любви, смерти и одиночестве. Музыка словно эхо с давних времен врывается в мое сердце, рождая самые разные чувства.

"Köld" - cold. The name of this creation carries an ambiguous meaning. Sólstafir has always been able to combine the spirit of Scandinavian beauties and philosophy in his music, which reflects human thoughts about love, death and loneliness. Music like an echo has long been breaking into my heart, giving birth to a variety of feelings.

"Köld" - это тематическое продолжение "Masterpiece of Bitterness". Печальное, но одновременно драйвовое и тут же затихающее слово в мире музыки (но отнюдь не забытое). Протест и внимательный взгляд в нашу эпоху. Мысли, несущие определение жизни. Так я могу представить вам этот альбом.

"Köld" is a thematic continuation of "Masterpiece of Bitterness". The sad, but at the same time driving and immediately calming down the word in the world of music (but by no means forgotten). Protest and attentive look in our era. Thoughts bearing the definition of life. So I can present you this album.

А теперь о некоторых особенностях. Вокал Addi имеет всевозможные оттенки, причем они выражаются с такой эмоциональностью и напором, что лично у меня это вызывает восхищение. По нескольку раз в песне следовать мелодии, каждый раз с каким-то новым тоном. То интригующие завывания в "Köld", то спокойный чистый голос в "Necrologue", то крик души в "She Destroys Again". Характерная хрипотца Addi добавляет особый шарм и все его вокальные возможности демонстрируются сполна от второго (первый интрументал) до восьмого трека. Чертовски самобытный вокал.

And now about some features. The ADDI vocals have all kinds of shades, and they are expressed with such emotionality and pressure that I personally have admiration for me. Several times in the song to follow the melody, each time with some new tone. Either the intriguing howls in the "Köld", then a calm pure voice in "Necrologue", then the scream of the soul in "She Destroys AGain". The characteristic hoarse ADDI adds a special charm and all its vocal capabilities are demonstrated from the second (first introduction) to the eighth track. Damn distinctive vocals.

Партии всех инструментов записаны годно. Об этом не буду расписывать. Музыкальную составляющую можно обозначить как Post-Metal с элементами прога. Блэковой тенденции не ощущается, что присутствовала на ранних работах. Но стиль Sólstafir все равно узнаваем, так или иначе. Мелодизм, эмоциональность вокала, интересные риффы и все та же практически отсутствующая бочка у ударных. Поток звучания альбома - одно целое.

The parties of all tools are recorded suitable. I will not paint about this. The musical component can be designated as post-metal with elements of the program. Black trend is not felt that she was present in early work. But the style of Sólstafir is still recognizable, one way or another. Melodism, the emotionality of vocals, interesting riffs and still the same practically missing barrel of drums. The sound flow of the album is one.
