-Ах, если б он видел, - сказала сестра, -

Всю жизнь он слепым оставался.
All his life he remained blind.
- Зачем же тогда?..- тут больной прошептал.
“Why then? ..- Then the patient whispered.
- Да он вас утешить старался…
