The great day of victory over Germany has come. Fascist Germany, put on his knees by the Red Army and the troops of our allies, recognized itself defeated and declared unconditional surrender.

On May 7, a preliminary surrender protocol was signed in Reims. On May 8, representatives of the German Commander -in -Chief in the presence of representatives of the Supreme Command of the Union forces and the Supreme High Command of the Soviet troops signed the final act of surrender in Berlin, the execution of which began on May 24 on May 8.

Knowing the wolf habits of the German, who considered the agreement and the agreement with an empty piece of paper, we have no reason to take their word for them. However, this morning, German troops, in the fulfillment of the act of surrender, began to put their weapons and surrender to our troops. This is no longer an empty piece of paper. This is the actual surrender of the Armed Forces of Germany. True, one group of German troops in the area of ​​Czechoslovakia is still evading surrender. But I hope that the Red Army will be able to bring her to her senses.

Now we can fully say that the historical day of the final defeat of Germany has come, the day of the great victory of our people over German imperialism.

The great sacrifices, in the name of the freedom and independence of our Motherland, the innumerable hardships and suffering experienced by our people during the war, intense work in the rear and at the front, given to the altar of the Fatherland, were not in vain and crowned with a complete victory over the enemy. The centuries -old struggle of the Slavic peoples for its existence and its independence ended in the victory over the German invaders and the German tyranny.

From now on, the great banner of the freedom of peoples and the world between the peoples will flutter over Europe.

Three years ago, Hitler popularly stated that his tasks include the dismemberment of the Soviet Union and the separation from him of the Caucasus, Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic states and other areas. He directly stated: "We will destroy Russia so that it can never rise again." It was three years ago. But Hitler’s extravagant ideas were not destined to come true - the course of the war dispelled them to dust. In fact, something directly opposite to what the Nazis raved about. Germany is defeated. German troops surrender. The Soviet Union triumphs victory, although it is not going to dissect or destroy Germany.

Comrades! The Great Patriotic War ended with our complete victory. The period of the war in Europe is over. The period of peaceful development began.
