1 Как уже многие начали составлять повествования о совершенно известных между нами событиях,
1, as many have already begun to draw up narratives about the events completely known between us,
2 как передали нам то бывшие с самого начала очевидцами и служителями Слова,
2 How the former words and ministers of the word from the very beginning passed to us,
3 то рассудилось и мне, по тщательном исследовании всего сначала, по порядку описать тебе, достопочтенный Феофил,
3 then judged me, according to a thorough study of everything, first, in order to describe to you, the venerable Feofil,
4 чтобы ты узнал твердое основание того учения, в котором был наставлен.
4 So that you find out the firm foundation of the teaching in which you were instructed.
5 Во дни Ирода, царя Иудейского, был священник из Авиевой чреды, именем Захария, и жена его из рода Ааронова, имя ей Елисавета.
5 In the days of Herod, the king of Jew, was a priest from Aviev Chreda, the name of Zachariah, and his wife from the Aaronov clan, her name Elisaveta.
6 Оба они были праведны пред Богом, поступая по всем заповедям и уставам Господним беспорочно.
6 Both of them were righteous before God, acting on all commandments and charters of the Lord immensely.
7 У них не было детей, ибо Елисавета была неплодна, и оба были уже в летах преклонных.
7 They did not have children, for Elizabeth was not bad, and both were already in the years of advanced.
8 Однажды, когда он в порядке своей чреды служил пред Богом,
8 Once, when he served before God, in order of his Chred,
9 по жребию, как обыкновенно было у священников, досталось ему войти в храм Господень для каждения,
9 by lot, as was usually among the priests, he went to enter the temple of the Lord for ceremony,
10 а все множество народа молилось вне во время каждения, -
10 And all the many people prayed outside during the ceremony, -
11 тогда явился ему Ангел Господень, стоя по правую сторону жертвенника кадильного.
11 Then the angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of the cadile.
12 Захария, увидев его, смутился, и страх напал на него.
12 Zachariah, seeing him, was embarrassed, and fear attacked him.
13 Ангел же сказал ему: не бойся, Захария, ибо услышана молитва твоя, и жена твоя Елисавета родит тебе сына, и наречешь ему имя: Иоанн;
13 Angel told him: do not be afraid, Zakhary, for your prayer is heard, and your wife Elisaveta will give birth to your son, and you will call his name: John;
14 и будет тебе радость и веселие, и многие о рождении его возрадуются,
14 and you will be joy and cheerful, and many about his birth will rejoice,
15 ибо он будет велик пред Господом; не будет пить вина и сикера, и Духа Святого исполнится еще от чрева матери своей;
15 for he will be great before the Lord; will not drink the wine and Sicker, and the Holy Spirit will be fulfilled from the womb of his mother;
16 и многих из сынов Израилевых обратит к Господу Богу их;
16 and many of the sons of Israel will turn to the Lord their God;
17 и предъидет пред Ним в духе и силе Илии, чтобы возвратить сердца отцов детям, и непокоривым образ мыслей праведников, дабы представить Господу народ приготовленный.
17 And he will come before him in the spirit and strength of Elijah in order to return the hearts of his fathers to children, and the rebellious way of the thoughts of the righteous, in order to present the people prepared for the Lord.
18 И сказал Захария Ангелу: по чему я узнаю это? ибо я стар, и жена моя в летах преклонных.
18 And Zakharia said to the angel: why do I know this? For I am old, and my wife is in the years of advanced.
19 Ангел сказал ему в ответ: я Гавриил, предстоящий пред Богом, и послан говорить с тобою и благовестить тебе сие;
19 Angel said in response to him: I am Gabriel, coming before God, and sent to speak with you and to foresee this;
20 и вот, ты будешь молчать и не будешь иметь возможности говорить до того дня, как это сбудется, за то, что ты не поверил словам моим, которые сбудутся в свое время.
20 And now, you will be silent and will not be able to speak before the day that it will come true for not believing my words that will come true in due time.
21 Между тем народ ожидал Захарию и дивился, что он медлит в храме.
21 Meanwhile, the people expected Zachariah and marveled that he was hesitating in the temple.
22 Он же, выйдя, не мог говорить к ним; и они поняли, что он видел видение в храме; и он объяснялся с ними знаками, и оставался нем.
22 He, having left, could not speak to them; And they realized that he saw a vision in the temple; And he was explained with them with signs, and remained him.
23 А когда окончились дни службы его, возвратился в дом свой.
23 And when the days of his service ended, he returned to his house.
24 После сих дней зачала Елисавета, жена его, и таилась пять месяцев и говорила:
24 after these days, Elisaveta conceived, his wife, and lurked for five months and said:
25 так сотворил мне Господь во дни сии, в которые призрел на меня, чтобы снять с меня поношение между людьми.
25 So the Lord created me in the days of these, in which he foreshadowed me to remove the reproach between people.
26 В шестой же месяц послан был Ангел Гавриил от Бога в город Галилейский, называемый Назарет,
26 In the sixth month, an angel Gabriel was sent from God to the city of Galilean, called Nazareth,
27 к Деве, обрученной мужу, именем Иосифу, из дома Давидова; имя же Деве: Мария.
27 to Virgo, engaged in her husband, by the name of Joseph, from the house of Davidov; Name to Virgo: Maria.
28 Ангел, войдя к Ней, сказал: радуйся, Благодатная! Господь с Тобою; благословенна Ты между женами.
28 Angel, entering her, said: Rejoice, Blagodny! The Lord is with you; You are blessed between wives.
29 Она же, увидев его, смутилась от слов его и размышляла, что бы это было за приветствие.
29 She, seeing him, was embarrassed by his words and thought that it would be a greeting.
30 И сказал Ей Ангел: не бойся, Мария, ибо Ты обрела благодать у Бога;
30 And the angel told her: do not be afraid, Mary, for you gained grace from God;
31 и вот, зачнешь во чреве, и родишь Сына, и наречешь Ему имя: Иисус.
31 And now, you will come down in the womb, and give birth to a son, and call him a name: Jesus.
32 Он будет велик и наречется Сыном Всевышнего, и даст Ему Господь Бог престол Давида, отца Его;
32 He will be great and will call the son of the Almighty, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David, His Father;
33 и будет царствовать над домом Иакова во веки, и Царству Его не будет конца.
33 and will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will not be the end.
34 Мария же сказала Ангелу: как будет это, когда Я мужа не знаю?
34 Maria told the angel: how will it be when I do not know my husband?
35 Ангел сказал Ей в ответ: Дух Святый найдет на Тебя, и сила Всевышнего осенит Тебя; посему и рождаемое Святое наречется Сыном Божиим.
35 Angel told her in response: the Holy Spirit will find at you, and the power of the Almighty will dawn you; Therefore, the surrendered holy is called the Son of God.
36 Вот и Елисавета, родственница Твоя, называемая неплодною, и она зачала сына в старости своей, и ей уже шестой месяц,
36 Here is Elisaveta, your relative, called a misunderstanding, and she conceived her son in her old age, and she was already the sixth month,
37 ибо у Бога не останется бессильным никакое слово.
37 For God will not have a powerless word.
38 Тогда Мария сказала: се, Раба Господня; да будет Мне по слову твоему. И отошел от Нее Ангел.
38 Then Maria said: Ce, the servant of the Lord; May I be your word. And the angel moved away from her.
39 Встав же Мария во дни сии, с поспешностью пошла в нагорную страну, в город Иудин,
39 Getting up on Maria in the days of these, with haste went to the Nagorny country, to the city of Judin,
40 и вошла в дом Захарии, и приветствовала Елисавету.
40 and entered the house of Zachariah, and greeted Elizabeth.
41 Когда Елисавета услышала приветствие Марии, взыграл младенец во чреве ее; и Елисавета исполнилась Святого Духа,
41 When Elisaveta heard Maria's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; And Elisaveta was fulfilled by the Holy Spirit,
42 и воскликнула громким голосом, и сказала: благословенна Ты между женами, и благословен плод чрева Твоего!
42 and exclaimed in a loud voice, and said: you are blessed between wives, and the fruit of your womb is blessed!
43 And where did I come from, that the mother of my Lord came to me?
43 И откуда это мне, что пришла Матерь Господа моего ко мне?
44 For when the voice of your greeting reached my hearing, the baby went joyfully in my womb.
44 Ибо когда голос приветствия Твоего дошел до слуха моего, взыграл младенец радостно во чреве моем.
45 and blessed to believe, because what she said from the Lord will happen.
45 И блаженна Уверовавшая, потому что совершится сказанное Ей от Господа.
46 And Maria said: my soul manages,
46 И сказала Мария: величит душа Моя Господа,
47 And my spirit rejoiced about God, my Savior,
47 и возрадовался дух Мой о Боге, Спасителе Моем,
48 that he molested the humility of his slaves, for from now on all the birth will appeal to me;
48 что призрел Он на смирение Рабы Своей, ибо отныне будут ублажать Меня все роды;
49 that the greatness of the strongest, and his name is sacred;
49 что сотворил Мне величие Сильный, и свято имя Его;
50 and his mercy in the birth of childbirth to his afraid of him;
50 и милость Его в роды родов к боящимся Его;
51 revealed the strength of his muscle; scattered arrogant thoughts of their hearts;
51 явил силу мышцы Своей; рассеял надменных помышлениями сердца их;
52 deposed strong from the thrones, and exalted the humble;
52 низложил сильных с престолов, и вознес смиренных;
53 ALSHICH performed goods, and the rich released with nothing;
53 алчущих исполнил благ, и богатящихся отпустил ни с чем;
54 perceived Israel, his lad, taking advantage of mercy,
54 воспринял Израиля, отрока Своего, воспомянув милость,
55 As our fathers told, to Abraham and his seed up to an age.
55 как говорил отцам нашим, к Аврааму и семени его до века.
56 Mary had for about three months, and returned to her house.
56 Пребыла же Мария с нею около трех месяцев, и возвратилась в дом свой.
57 Elizabeth has come to give birth, and she gave birth to a son.
57 Елисавете же настало время родить, и она родила сына.
58 And the neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had exalted His mercy over her, and rejoiced with her.
58 И услышали соседи и родственники ее, что возвеличил Господь милость Свою над нею, и радовались с нею.
59 On the eighth day, they came to cut the baby and wanted to call him, by the name of about
59 В восьмой день пришли обрезать младенца и хотели назвать его, по имени о
