У звезд вчера был выходной.

Две жизненные нити в клубок связались тесный.
Two vital threads in the ball contacted cramped.


Переплелись и не найти концов.

Не ясно, что же раньше с ними было.

Но это и не важно, ведь итог таков,

Что парень с девушкой друг друга полюбили.

И счастье тихо к ним пробралось в дом,

О том, что враг с войною на крыльце.

И значит им не суждено остаться вместе.

Он тихо ей шептал, обняв за плечи:
He whispered quietly to her, hugging her shoulders:
"Не бойся, я вернусь, ты только жди.
"Do not be afraid, I'll be back, you just wait.
Не говори "Прощай", скажи "До встречи",
Do not say "goodbye", say "see",
Пожар войны зальют осенние дожди."
Autumn rains will flood the fire of war. "


И он ушел. Ушел туда, где Зло с Добром схлестнулись,
And he left. Went to where the evil clashed with good,
Сошлись в смертельном вальсе под музыку Войны.
We agreed in a deadly waltz to the music of war.
Туда, где большинство солдат в полях родных уснули,
To where most soldiers in the fields of relatives fell asleep,
Так и не увидав Салют победной той весны.
And without seeing the salute of the victory that spring.


Укутавшись поглубже в одеяло,
Wrapping up deeper into the blanket,
Носами шмыгая и не скрывая слез:
With their noses, they do not hide tears:
"Что ж с девушкою тою стало?", -
"What did it become with the girl?"
Вдруг звезды задали Луне вопрос.
Suddenly the stars asked the moon a question.


Гудел в окошке ветер, печь трещала -
The wind was buzzing in the window, the stove cracked -
Огонь играл свой первобытный ритм.
Fire played its primitive rhythm.
Ей в эту ночь ничто не предвещало,
Nothing foreshadowed her that night,
Что он падет, падет от рук Войны убитым.
That he will fall, falls at the hands of the murdered.


В углу, как маятник, качалась колыбель.
In the corner, like a pendulum, a cradle rocked.
Она шептала на ночь сыну сказку:
She whispered to her son a fairy tale at night:
"Есть Мир без Войн, сынок, поверь.
"There is a world without wars, son, believe me.
В нем все добры и бескорыстно дарят ласку.
In it, everyone is kind and disinterestedly affected.


В нем нету зависти, предательства и лжи.
There is no envy, betrayal and lies in it.
В нем каждый видеть рад любого.
Everyone is glad of anyone in it.
В нем дарят, и не просят: "Одолжи..."
They give it, and do not ask: "Land ..."
А если обнимают и целуют, так любовно."
And if they hug and kiss, so lovingly. "


Теперь и сам детей растит их сын.
Now their son is raising the children.
Она же где-то там под небесами тает
She is melting somewhere under heaven somewhere
В руках того, кто для нее был самым дорогим.
In the hands of the one who was the most expensive for her.
И больше их ничто,
And nothing more of them,
ничто не разлучает.
