Не осуждай брата твоего
Don't judge your brother


1 Немощного в вере принимайте без споров о мнениях.
1 Accept him who is weak in the faith without arguing about opinions.
2 Ибо иной уверен, что можно есть все, а немощный ест овощи.
2 For some are confident that they can eat everything, but the weak eat vegetables.
3 Кто ест, не уничижай того, кто не ест; и кто не ест, не осуждай того, кто ест, потому что Бог принял его.
3 He who eats, do not despise him who does not eat; and whoever does not eat, do not condemn the one who eats, because God has accepted him.
4 Кто ты, осуждающий чужого раба? Пред своим Господом стоит он или падает. И будет восставлен, ибо силен Бог восставить его.
4 Who are you, judging another man's servant? Before his Lord he stands or falls. And he will be raised up, for God is able to raise him up.
5 Иной отличает день от дня, а другой судит о всяком дне равно. Всякий поступай по удостоверению своего ума.
5 One distinguishes one day from another, and another judges every day equally. Everyone act according to the evidence of his own mind.
6 Кто различает дни, для Господа различает; и кто не различает дней, для Господа не различает. Кто ест, для Господа ест, ибо благодарит Бога; и кто не ест, для Господа не ест и благодарит Бога.
6 He who discerns the days discerns them for the Lord; and he who does not discern the days does not discern for the Lord. Whoever eats eats for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and whoever does not eat does not eat for the Lord and thanks God.
7 Ибо никто из нас не живет для себя и никто не умирает для себя;
7 For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself;
8 а живем ли – для Господа живем, умираем ли – для Господа умираем. И потому живем ли или умираем – всегда Господни.
8 If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord. And therefore, whether we live or die, it is always the Lord’s.
9 Ибо Христос для того и умер, и воскрес, и ожил, чтобы владычествовать и над мертвыми, и над живыми.
9 For to this end Christ died, and rose again, and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
10 А ты что осуждаешь брата твоего? Или и ты, что унижаешь брата твоего? Все мы предстанем перед судом Христовым.
10 Why do you judge your brother? Or are you also why you humiliate your brother? We will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 Ибо написано: «Живу Я, – говорит Господь, – предо Мной преклонится всякое колено, и всякий язык будет исповедовать Бога».
11 For it is written: “As I live,” says the Lord, “every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue will confess to God.”
12 Итак, каждый из нас за себя даст отчет Богу.
12 So, each of us will give an account of himself to God.


Не будь преткновением брату твоему
Do not be a stumbling block to your brother


13 Не станем же более судить друг друга, а лучше судите о том, как бы не подавать брату повод к преткновению или соблазну.
13 Let us no longer judge each other, but rather judge how not to give your brother cause for stumbling or temptation.
14 Я знаю и уверен в Господе Иисусе, что нет ничего в себе самом нечистого; только почитающему что-либо нечистым, тому нечисто.
14 I know and am confident in the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean in itself; Only to him who considers something unclean, it is unclean for him.
15 Если же за пищу огорчается брат твой, то ты уже не по любви поступаешь. Не губи твоей пищей того, за кого Христос умер.
15 But if your brother grieves over food, then you are no longer acting out of love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.
16 Да не хулится ваше доброе.
16 Let not your goodness be blasphemed.
17 Ибо Царство Божие – не пища и питье, но праведность, и мир, и радость в Святом Духе.
17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18 Кто этим служит Христу, тот угоден Богу и достоин одобрения людей.
18 Whoever serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and worthy of people’s approval.
19 Итак, будем искать того, что служит миру и взаимному назиданию.
19 Let us therefore seek that which serves for peace and mutual edification.
20 Ради пищи не разрушай дела Божьего. Все чисто, но худо человеку, который ест на соблазн.
20 For the sake of food, do not destroy the work of God. Everything is pure, but it is bad for the person who eats because he is tempted.
21 Лучше не есть мяса, не пить вина и не делать ничего такого, от чего брат твой претыкается, или соблазняется, или изнемогает.
21 It is better not to eat meat, not to drink wine, and not to do anything that causes your brother to stumble, or to be offended, or to become weak.
22 Ты имеешь веру? Имей ее сам в себе, пред Богом. Блажен, кто не осуждает себя в том, что избирает.
22 Do you have faith? Have it within yourself, before God. Blessed is he who does not condemn himself in what he chooses.
23 А сомневающийся, если ест, осуждается, потому что не по вере; а все, что не по вере, – грех.
23 But he who doubts, if he eats, is condemned, because it is not by faith; and everything that is not from faith is sin.

Praise to God


24 Могущему же утвердить вас, по благовествованию моему и проповеди Иисуса Христа, по откровению тайны, о которой от вечных времен было умолчано,
24 Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which has been kept secret from time immemorial,
25 но которая ныне явлена и через Писания пророческие, по повелению вечного Бога, возвещена всем народам для покорения их вере,
25 But which has now been revealed, and has been made known through the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, to all nations for the subjection of their faith,
26 единому премудрому Богу, через Иисуса Христа, слава вовеки. Аминь.
26 To the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen.
